Ashes Wednesday

Dear all,

today is Ashes Wednesday,

so for all of you who are celebrating … I wish you a happy beginning of this Lent season.

The 40 days before Easter.

A period of reflection, of self improvement and some sacrifices to do, maybe something we can avoid, some food habits we can change … and a soul recharging and rebirth.

Just to arrive well prepared to the Holy Easter. This year Easter will be on the 12th of April.

So still just the beginning of this Lent to start.

But I would like you all to take a moment to reflect.

Today with the Ashes Wednesday, we remind us all that we are going to go back to ashes one day.

So it is very important to reflect about our own life in a very humble way.

What are we seeking in this life? Money? Power? Success?

None of these things could truly give us real happiness.

Only love can. Only true love is able to enrich our souls. Love to give, love to share, love to have in our hearts also and especially in response to people who throw hate to us, who insult us, who show no respect.

Easy to reply to hate with hate, but to reply with love is the real challenge. Not to argue back, but replying with compassion and true love is the challenge.

Love your enimy. This is what Jesus asked us.

And when people question our religion, Jesus said that the only way people will spot our faith is through love (not from a cross or any other pointless dress code). From the love we will share, people will know we are Jesus disciples.

Because love is the essence of Christian religion.

Only one commandment Jesus gave us:

To love God with all our heart, soul and mind, and love our neighbor, as we love ourselves.

Full stop. All starts and ends with love. With love as the only rule for each of our behaviors.

And, as Martin Luther Kings reminded us, the only way to scatter darkness, is not with other darkness, but with light. Same with hate: only love can truly win hate. Always.

Love is stronger than anything else. Love will have the last word.

And it is fear that makes all so difficult everytime. Fear as the opposite of love. Win it with love.

And love is the love of compassion and understanding. Love is the love of forgivness and care.

Because we are all children of God on this planet. We all belong to only one human race. One race only.

So let’s together stop all hate and discriminations around. None of us is superior or better. We are all on a personal pathway in this life.

Let us become the better versions of ourselves.

Be good, do good. And it will all come back in return in a life of true happiness when the true joy comes from giving.

Take care you all

God bless you all

Happy Ashes Wednesday and beginning of Lent.

Jesus was Jewish

Hi everyone!

I am writing this article because I just read today that a church has been vandalised with also a 500 euros theft after the priest wrote on the door of the church that there lives a Jew, Jesus Christ. The theft took place in the offices of the La Loggia Caritas in Turin city.

Yes because in Italy we are having the rising back of so many racists and antisemitic fascists.

They started to vandalize doors of normal people just because of their religion: wrting on doors “here lives a Jew” with the Nazi words and symbols … Such a shame! 2020.

And in Italy 15% of Italian people do not believe that Shoah ever existed. How can it be? This is proven history. There are witnesses and survivors, concentration camps open to be visited, documents, pictures …

It is madness.

And to all who declare themselves Christians and hate Jews, it is so important to remind them that first of all they are not real Christians because Jesus taught us not to hate anyone, and second Jesus Christ was e Jew, raised as a Jew, circumcised, and grown up learning the teachings of the Judaism.

So I invite you all worldwide to stop these Nazi and this Fascism with these hashtags:

#JesusWasAJew

#JesusWasJewish

#GesùeraEbreo

A big hug to all Jews worldwide.

And let us build a world where all religions stand together in peace and harmony supporting each other.
